MXSW Weekend Guide

Chandler Craft Spirits Festival
Sample from a selection of more than 150 cocktails, spirits, and beers from 5-9 p.m. Saturday at the third annual Chandler Craft Spirits Festival at Downtown Ocotillo. General admission to the 21-and-over event is $40 and includes 15 samples. VIP admission is $60 and includes early entry at 4 p.m. and 20 samples.

Free BBQ at Danky’s Bar-B-Q
Enjoy free barbecue and maybe win sports tickets as Danky’s Bar-B-Q in Phoenix celebrates its first anniversary with a parking lot party from noon-4 p.m. Saturday. To get free ’cue, follow the instructions here. Donations will be accepted for Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

Cultivate Phoenix Festival
Chipotle’s touring Cultivate food and music festival stops at West World in Scottsdale from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday. Among the beers on tap will be a chipotle Mexican lager developed in partnership with Arizona Wilderness Brewing from Gilbert. Admission is free.

Dog rescue fundraisers
The Brass Tap at Mesa Riverview hosts a Pittie Me Rescue fundraiser featuring Sleepy Dog beers from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. On Sunday, PBR for Pups raises money for the Lucky Paws Rescue at Old Town Gringos in Scottsdale from 1-3 p.m.
